Sea Grapes are Popular among many cultures

Japan – Okinawa is famous for its Sea Grape (Umibudo) dishes

Philippines - Sea Grapes are no stranger to people from the Philippines. A very popular salad called “Ensaladang Lato” uses Sea Grapes (Lato) as the main ingredient. Also known here as Green Caviar.

Pacific Islands - Our good friends from the Pacific Islands have been enjoying the benefits of Sea Grapes for generations. A delicacy enjoyed among friends and often paired with taro or coconut. Sea Grapes are known throughout the Pacific Islands as Limu (Samoa, Tonga), Nama (Fiji) and Kureeben Taari (Kiribati) to name a few.

Vietnam - Sea Grapes have been popular in coastal towns and villages in Vietnam for many years and are often enjoyed with a spicy or soy sauce. Sea Grapes have become better known in the cities with the growing popularity of sushi.

Some other countries where Sea Grapes are popular include Indonesia and Malaysia (Latok) and Korea (bada podo) to name a few.
